ADA Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled ADA Engineer to contribute to the creation, upkeep, and improvement of sophisticated simulation and software systems within a rigorously regulated engineering setting. This position is essential for maintaining and modernizing legacy software programs, including environmental simulators, while fulfilling ongoing project requirements.

Key Duties

• Develop, update, and improve software primarily built in ADA.
• Maintain and adjust legacy environmental simulation software.
• Identify and analyze software bugs, determine root causes, and implement fixes.
• Engage in software design, system integration, verification, and testing procedures.
• Create and sustain technical documents throughout the software's lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively with systems, software, and integration teams to meet project goals.
• Assist in software modernization and migration efforts when needed.
• Participate in code assessments and uphold adherence to engineering standards and protocols.
• Contribute to maintaining software quality, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ADA software development.
• Background working with legacy software and long-term product lifecycle support.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with software integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Experience documenting technical materials and following structured development procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Competence in C++ programming.
• Familiarity with environmental simulation software or simulation systems.
• Industry experience in aerospace, defense, or safety-related systems.
• Knowledge of configuration management and version control systems.
• Understanding of model-based or systems engineering methodologies.
• Experience with software modernization or migration initiatives.
