Key Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in the non-life insurance or reinsurance sector, from consultancy or industry roles.
- Strong commercial insight and relationship-building skills with internal and client stakeholders.
- Robust analytical and technical capabilities, especially in financial modelling.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently while managing deadlines.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in small, multidisciplinary groups.
- Eager to broaden knowledge and skillset due to the diverse nature of the role.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied client portfolio, providing expert advice on actuarial matters such as Solvency II, IFRS 17, risk management, and ESG.
- Deliver outsourced actuarial services and prepare formal actuarial opinions on technical topics.
- Conduct independent actuarial evaluations including reserve reviews, portfolio transfers, expert opinions, transfer pricing support, and company valuations relevant for mergers and acquisitions.
- Support profitability analyses and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with KPMG’s cross-disciplinary teams including audit, tax, corporate finance, risk, applied intelligence, and IT consulting to assist clients.
- Contribute to the development of initiatives related to regulatory, accounting, and actuarial requirements such as Solvency II, IFRS 17, and ESG.
- Participate actively in strengthening the practice through client engagement, addressing emerging challenges, and preparing for future developments.
- Assist in mentoring and developing the actuarial team.

The Actuarial Advisory team delivers comprehensive actuarial services supporting insurance and reinsurance companies in areas including independent reviews, outsourced statutory roles, Solvency II advice, IFRS 17, ESG integration, modelling, audit support, financial reporting, and more. The practice integrates closely with other professional service areas in KPMG to meet the evolving demands of the insurance sector.
