Job description
Position Overview
Join Le Mridien Hotels & Resorts in Kochi as an Activity Executive, responsible for planning and promoting guest recreational activities. This role involves creating engaging activity schedules and promotional materials, managing supplies inventory, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare recreation activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
- Conduct inventory checks for supplies, materials, and equipment, and report shortages to management.
- Encourage and register guests for recreational activities and maintain scheduling.
- Foster a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere for all visitors.
- Provide guests with information about recreational facilities and activity options.
- Enforce facility rules and safety regulations to protect guests and members.
- Monitor activities, respond promptly to emergencies per operational procedures, and provide first aid assistance until professional medical help arrives.
- Identify guests unable to safely participate and alert supervisors appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of recreation equipment and supplies.
- Support management with training, motivating, and coaching team members while exemplifying professional behavior.
- Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and complete relevant safety training.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist guests with disabilities and respond effectively to guest service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, handle telephone inquiries with proper etiquette.
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues and guests.
- Process transactions and handle payments as required.
- Ensure high-quality standards and suggest improvements to enhance organizational quality.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted, and heavier items with assistance.
- Navigate confined spaces, uneven floors, stairs, and ramps safely.
- Carry out other reasonable duties requested by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification mandatory.
- Experience with recreation and fitness equipment usage.
- Compliance with any local or state certification related to recreation services.
