Job description
Position Overview
The Acquisition Manager role at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank's branch aims to attract new customers for liability products and strengthen relationships with existing clients through cross-selling and customer engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Branch Sales Manager within the Branch Banking department, this full-time position is field-based with a focus on achieving branch-specific targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain new liability customers through open market acquisitions and support the CRS team for converting unsecured loan borrowers to liability customers.
- Promote additional bank products and services tailored to client profiles and requirements to deepen relationships.
- Educate customers on ATM and Business Correspondent services to encourage usage of alternative banking channels.
- Maintain and manage prospect databases, engage selective potential clients, and nurture ongoing relationships.
- Collaborate with CRS in field visits to assist in converting borrowing clients to liability account holders.
- Identify leads for secured loans and pass them to respective loan officers.
- Provide customer feedback and insights on products to the Sales Manager - Liabilities.
- Offer courteous, prompt, and professional customer service addressing queries across accounts, fixed deposits, recurring deposits, remittances, and third-party products.
- Reduce customer dormancy and attrition via continuous customer interactions.
- Guide customers through account opening documentation and strictly follow KYC compliance procedures.
- Promote alternate banking channels usage, including ATMs and BCs, assisting customers where necessary.
- Maintain updated knowledge of liability products and other branch offerings while supporting CRS with liability product queries.
- Complete mandatory training and participate in the goal-setting and performance review processes within required timelines.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate degree, preferably in commerce or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years sales-related experience.
- Certification in AMFI or IRDA is mandatory.
- Basic understanding of retail banking products and documentation procedures.
- Strong commitment to process compliance and KYC norms.
- Proficient communication skills in the local language.
