Accounts Payable Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a Team Lead specializing in Accounts Payable within the Finance and Accounting domain, based in Pune. The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 10 years of professional experience, with a strong background in managing team operations and the end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle including Invoice Processing, Helpdesk, Payments, Vendor Master maintenance, and Travel & Expense (T&E) activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the team to ensure smooth functioning of Accounts Payable processes.
• Oversee completion of all team deliverables timely, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and compliance standards.
• Maintain compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Proactively identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Manage internal reporting responsibilities and ensure SLA adherence.
• Conduct quality control checks and audits to assure accuracy.
• Consistently surpass daily, weekly, and monthly targets concerning turnaround time (TAT) and precision.
• Organize and lead review meetings with both team members and external parties involved.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Commerce graduate or postgraduate degree such as B.Com, M.Com, or MBA with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
• Four to eight years of dedicated experience in Accounts Payables.
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting procedures.
• Proficient with various ERP systems, including SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree with a focus on Account and Finance.
