Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Supervisor to manage supplier invoice processing and payments at Raffles & Fairmont Doha. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with the hotel's financial protocols and internal controls.
Primary Duties
- Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices accurately.
- Match invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure validity.
- Obtain all necessary authorizations before invoice processing.
- Record all invoices and payments precisely in the accounting system.
- Reconcile supplier statements, addressing and resolving any conflicts.
- Create and maintain payment schedules, ensuring timely disbursement to vendors.
- Keep well-organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with departments such as Purchasing, Receiving, and Cost Control to streamline processes.
- Conduct follow-ups with suppliers about unpaid invoices or discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Support audits by supplying necessary documents.
- Monitor aging reports for accounts payable, ensuring overdue items are appropriately addressed.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Prior experience in accounts payable or similar financial positions.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Organized and capable of managing time effectively under pressure.
- Handles confidential financial data with professionalism and discretion.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
