Job description
Position Overview
The Account Specialist plays a crucial role in post-sales account management by handling customer order planning, logistics coordination, and various support services. This position is essential to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing and supply chain operations, particularly for enterprise clients in semiconductor manufacturing and packaging sectors. It is a non-sales role focused on maintaining and enhancing client relationships through effective order execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Review meetings to support existing client relationships.
- Manage sales order creation for billing and shipping after sale completion.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and maintain accurate customer reports ensuring data quality.
- Communicate internally any changes to customer requirements based on specifications.
- Inform clients about updates in product specifications and manufacturing processes relevant to their business.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to plan and execute customer orders, which includes: providing visibility on incoming wafers, issuing execution instructions, prioritizing orders, sharing WIP status, shipment plans, and finished goods information.
- Organize customer wafers to meet forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and shipment requirements.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve complaints effectively; also identify upselling opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Project/Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years of experience managing customer service for enterprise-level clients; internships are not counted as professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in client engagement, order execution, and upselling performance.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing operations coupled with the willingness to grasp technical details and specific client needs to ensure successful outcomes.
- Experience in leading and managing teams considered advantageous.
- Able to liaise effectively with customers as well as cross-functional teams including engineering, production, logistics, sales, and planning departments.
- Strong sense of ownership with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
