Account Manager

Position Overview

Begin your professional journey with exceptional earning possibilities at Rent-A-Center in Dalton, GA. This role often serves as a stepping stone to higher management positions, with nearly all senior managers having advanced from the Account Manager role. You will manage rental customer accounts by offering outstanding service, promoting new products, executing deliveries and pickups, and maintaining store and vehicle standards while reinforcing early collection efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned list of customer accounts, fostering strong relationships.
• Perform initial collection activities for accounts overdue by 1 to 6 days, meeting required collection goals.
• Ensure account stability and obtain payment commitments using company tools.
• Carry out scheduled delivery routes, pickups, and customer follow-ups.
• Provide premium customer service in-store, by phone, and at customer residences.
• Support sales increases by signing new rental agreements.
• Safely transport, install, and manage merchandise handling procedures.
• Maintain showroom appearance and upkeep of company vehicles.
• Follow all company safety protocols and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license along with a clean driving history.
• Strong abilities in communication and customer service.

Physical Demands

• Capability to lift and move heavy products.
• Ability to operate a box truck.
• Comfort with standing and driving for long periods.

Schedule and Work Environment

• Full-time position working Monday through Saturday.
• Scheduled off on Sundays plus one additional weekday.
• Role involves physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing.

Additional Information

New hires will receive a $500 bonus split into $250 at 30 days and another $250 at 90 days. Expected starting pay ranges from $15.30 to $16.45 per hour.
