Role Overview
The Account Manager will be based onsite full-time in Canterbury. This position involves managing client relationships and serving as the main contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client requirements are understood and fulfilled throughout all project phases. Key daily activities include coordinating with project managers and site teams, drafting and reviewing proposals, tracking contract performance, resolving client inquiries promptly, monitoring budgets and schedules, assisting with invoicing and payments, and compiling periodic reports on account status and project updates. Additionally, the role includes identifying new service opportunities, engaging in meetings with current and prospective clients, and aiding ongoing service improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in account management or client-facing roles, preferably within construction, engineering, or related sectors.
- Strong abilities in building relationships, effective stakeholder communication, and resolving conflicts.
- Good knowledge of project processes, contract terms, and fundamental financial concepts such as budgeting and invoicing.
- Competence in office software, including email, spreadsheets, and project management or CRM applications, with a focus on maintaining precise records and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities, able to juggle multiple accounts and meet deadlines concurrently.
- Keen attention to detail combined with a problem-solving approach; capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Additional advantages include prior UK construction sector experience, knowledge of local regulations, and relevant academic or vocational credentials in business, construction management, or related disciplines.
