Job description
About Wayflyer
Wayflyer is revolutionizing capital provision for rapidly growing small businesses by offering fast, flexible financing solutions in contrast to traditional, slow, and often inaccessible lending options. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, the company can evaluate businesses within minutes, extend financing offers aligned with their growth capacity, and disburse funds in as quickly as 24 hours. With over $6 billion deployed worldwide and backing from Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan, Wayflyer operates globally with offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin, and Sydney.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As an Account Executive, you will manage the entire sales process, from independently generating leads to closing deals with prominent consumer brands. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive discovery calls following the MEDDPICC sales methodology, collaborating with underwriting teams to expedite approvals without compromising diligence, and negotiating agreements that benefit both Wayflyer and its clients. A dedicated Business Development Representative (BDR) will support you, but proactive lead sourcing is essential. Achieving approximately 200% of sales targets is attainable for top performers.
Career Path
Account Executives at Wayflyer often advance either by specializing in emerging verticals or by taking on leadership roles as the company grows. Continued product and market expansion offers multiple growth opportunities, with a preference for internal promotions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have experience managing full sales cycles, including building their own sales pipelines. You should thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, persist through objections, and demonstrate resilience and adaptability. A genuine interest in eCommerce and small business growth is critical. Familiarity with MEDDPICC and experience in SaaS or FinTech sales, particularly with deal sizes ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, are required. Prior roles as an outbound BDR or SDR and experience in startups or scale-ups are advantageous.
Work Location and Policy
This position is situated in Dublin or London with a hybrid working model requiring 3-4 days per week in-office presence.
Benefits and Perks
- 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays
- Private healthcare coverage
- Life insurance
- Pension plan
- Equity participation
- Generous parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers
- Up to 60 days per year to work remotely from any location worldwide
