Job description
About Wayflyer
Wayflyer is a financial technology company that supports the growth ambitions of small businesses by offering rapid capital deployment through innovative technology. Unlike traditional financing, which tends to be slow and rigid, Wayflyer assesses businesses quickly, generates customized financing offers, and delivers funds within 24 hours. Having deployed over $6 billion globally and partnered with Tier 1 banks like J.P. Morgan, we have established a global presence with offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin, and Sydney.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will be the initial point of contact for founders, generating opportunities by conducting smart outreach and building meaningful conversations. Your main objective is to identify and qualify businesses in need of funding and refer suitable prospects to Account Executives. Success in this role demands curiosity, hustle, and genuine care about doing the job well—not just taking orders.
Career Progression
This entry-level position is designed as a stepping stone to higher revenue roles. Most Business Development Representatives transition into Account Executive or Customer Success roles within 12 to 18 months through our structured Revenue Academy, which equips you with skills, deal experience, and commercial understanding. Management focuses on your personal growth and career trajectory, not only pipeline targets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Individuals who thrive in target-driven environments, who learn from rejection, who proactively identify problems beyond their scope, and who are eager to undertake tasks outside the specified role will excel here. We prioritize growth potential over tenure and value commercial sharpness, hunger to succeed, and enthusiasm for challenges. Fluent English is required; startup experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Location and Work Schedule
This position is based in our Dublin headquarters with a hybrid working model requiring 3 to 4 days weekly onsite.
Benefits
- 25 days of paid leave plus public holidays
- Private healthcare coverage
- Life insurance
- Company pension scheme
- Equity options allowing ownership stake
- Generous parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers
- Flexibility to work 60 days annually from anywhere worldwide
