About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and results-focused Account Development Manager responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients while driving new business acquisition to expand our market share. This position requires a balanced approach that entails 50% maintaining and growing existing accounts, and 50% actively sourcing new clients through strategic outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans aimed at meeting or exceeding revenue goals within the assigned client base.
- Cultivate and sustain durable client relationships by understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions to drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Handle contract negotiations ensuring profitable and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for key stakeholders, promptly addressing questions and concerns.
- Collaborate across internal teams to guarantee smooth delivery and service excellence.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide consistent updates and reports to senior leadership on sales progress and client engagement.
- Execute outbound prospecting via multiple channels including email, phone, social media, and face-to-face meetings to onboard new clients.
- Translate global and regional strategies into actionable plans for clients and effectively implement them.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and manage the revenue budget within the portfolio.
- Ensure all potential prospects are identified and approached to maximize market penetration.
- Achieve retention targets by maintaining client satisfaction and delivering commercial excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Seven to nine years of experience in market research and sales, with proven expertise in a hunting sales environment.
- Strong knowledge of retail measurement methodologies and customized service solutions.
- Proven capability in sales negotiation and strategic planning, ideally within consumer durables or related sectors.
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective presentations and strong client engagement.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
