Job Overview
Speedy Hire, the UK's foremost equipment hire provider, is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver in Gloucester. This vital position involves operating a 3.5 ton flatbed van to deliver hire equipment locally. The driver will uphold the company's values as a key face of the business.
Working Hours and Location
Work is scheduled Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00, totaling 42 hours weekly. The company supports flexible working hours including job shares and amended schedules to promote work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a 3.5 ton flatbed van delivering equipment around the local area.
- Assist trained rail engineers on weekends by supporting track jobs such as setting up sight lighting and operating clipping machines.
- Participate in product familiarisation training at the local Rail depot.
Requirements
- Hold a valid driving license.
- Be reliable and flexible, with availability for weekend and holiday work (with at least 4 weeks’ notice).
- Successfully pass the Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification.

- Annual salary of £29,572 pro rata.
