Job description
Role and Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals as prescribed.
- Oversee ordering, storage, and safekeeping of pharmacy inventory to guarantee a consistent availability of medicines.
- Provide patients with comprehensive information on medications, including side effects, proper dosage, and storage guidelines; recommend interventions if necessary.
- Handle sales payments and ensure responsible deposit of collected funds.
- Maintain patient records and billing information, generating reports as required.
- Keep separate documentation for specified medicines following state and central government regulations.
- Dispose of expired and damaged drugs responsibly from the inventory.
- Ensure timely renewal of pharmacy registration and drug licenses to avoid cancellation; prepare audit reports for management.
- Maintain the Inspection Book with accurate entries to support external audits and quality inspections.
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and appropriate temperature conditions in the pharmacy, adhering to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in clinical programs and training sessions to improve the pharmacological knowledge of hospital staff.
- Interact with patients in a respectful, empathetic, and calm manner to prevent conflicts or aggravation.
- Conduct vendor interactions ethically and compliantly, prioritizing the organization's values.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills such as CPR and fire safety exercises along with other staff members.
Additional Information
Applicants must hold a D-Pharma or B-Pharma degree and possess Gujarat state registration, which is mandatory for this role.
