Internship Overview
Join MySoulSchool as a Video Editing intern to create engaging and visually captivating short-form video content. This role involves working remotely and offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience editing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional clips, and repurposed media aligned with current social media trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit various short video formats including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and promotional materials.
- Transform raw footage into polished, platform-optimized videos with appealing visuals and narrative flow.
- Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, seamless transitions, background music, sound effects, and graphic elements as needed.
- Ensure videos feature compelling hooks, appropriate pacing, strong storytelling, and smooth visual continuity.
- Stay updated with prevailing social media editing trends, transition styles, and viral formats to incorporate into content.
- Collaborate closely with Content Creators and the Marketing team to align videos with creative briefs and brand guidelines.
- Curate and organize optimal footage selections from raw recordings efficiently.
- Maintain consistency with the brand’s visual identity and style standards.
- Implement feedback and complete revisions on time to meet deadlines for assigned projects.
- Repurpose existing videos into varied durations and formats suitable for different social platforms.
- Support basic thumbnail design and optimize videos when necessary.
- Systematically organize video projects, raw footage, and associated files for ease of access and archival.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Gemini to aid in content research, generate editing ideas, support scripting, and gather creative references.
