Internship Overview and Responsibilities
As a Travel Consultant intern, you will engage with customers daily, assisting them in planning memorable journeys. Your duties include:
- Managing incoming customer inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
- Comprehending client needs regarding destinations, travel dates, group size, budget, and preferences.
- Researching and proposing appropriate tour packages and travel plans.
- Supporting the preparation of quotations and detailed travel itineraries.
- Following up with customers who have received quotations to encourage booking.
- Updating and maintaining records in CRM platforms or Google Sheets regularly.
- Collaborating with senior sales personnel on complex or high-value customer requests.
- Gaining knowledge about local destinations, accommodation options, transport, activities, and travel routes within Northeast India.
- Coordinating logistics such as hotels, vehicles, drivers, guides, and activities for confirmed bookings.
- Verifying that booking details and customer requirements are accurately documented.
- Assisting the operations team with preparations and communications before trips.
- Monitoring pending responses, payments, and other booking necessities from clients.
- Participating actively in daily team meetings and sales evaluations.
- Learning and adhering to Wild Hill Adventure’s sales procedures and customer management protocols.
- Ensuring timely follow-up so no customer inquiries lapse.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be available for a full-time, in-office internship.
- Availability to start between September 25, 2026, and October 30, 2026.
- Commitment to a 3-month internship duration.
- Must reside in Azara, Assam, India.
- Should possess relevant skills and a keen interest in travel consulting.
