About the internship
Internship Overview
This internship provides a practical experience in designing and maintaining PLC systems used for automating machinery and industrial processes. The intern will support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems under senior engineer supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and testing of PLC programs including ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text.
- Support on-site commissioning activities for control systems and perform panel wiring, sensor/actuator integration, and I/O validation.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and technical documentation accurately.
- Help document software updates, changes, and system configuration details.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols throughout project tasks.
- Participate in internal training sessions aimed at enhancing technical and software skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support project success.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be available for a full-time, in-office internship based in Pune for six months starting between August 20, 2026, and September 24, 2026.
- Employment is open to women seeking to start or resume their careers in relevant engineering fields.
- Applicants should be students or graduates in Electronics Engineering or related technical disciplines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related areas.
- Basic understanding of PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron.
- Knowledge or exposure to HMI and SCADA software applications is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electrical circuits, industrial control panels, and sensor technologies.
- Ability to read technical drawings and PLC logic diagrams.
- Proficiency with MS Office and general software tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
