About the Internship

At QONQEV Labs, a cutting-edge deep-tech startup focusing on battery management systems, EV electronics, and energy storage solutions, we are seeking an intern passionate about embedded electronics and battery technologies. This internship involves hands-on engagement in testing and analysis of Lithium-ion battery cells and packs.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and functional assessments on Lithium-ion battery cells and battery packs.
  • Perform various tests including charge-discharge cycles, capacity evaluation, rate capability analyses, and efficiency assessments.
  • Execute characterization protocols for multiple Lithium-ion chemistries such as LFP and NMC.
  • Continuously monitor critical battery parameters like voltage, current, temperature, capacity, and internal resistance.
  • Operate specialized equipment including battery cyclers, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
  • Record and maintain detailed test data and reports.
  • Support battery validation processes and assist in analyzing failures.
  • Adhere to safety standards concerning handling, storage, and transport of Lithium-ion batteries.

Skills and Additional Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Lithium-ion battery testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of cell, module, and pack architectures, specifically for LFP and NMC chemistries.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), capacity, C-rate, and internal resistance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic report generation.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior involvement in college racing teams.

Compensation and Perks

  • Monthly stipend ranging from INR 12,000 to INR 15,000.
