About the Internship
Join Honhr as a Legal Intern remotely, supporting a variety of legal and HR compliance tasks over a five-month period. This role involves assisting with drafting and reviewing contracts including NDAs and consultancy agreements, supporting intellectual property matters such as patents and copyrights, and helping to prepare privacy policies, terms and conditions, along with data protection documentation.
You will conduct legal research focused on employment laws, regulatory compliance, and related topics; assist in legal structuring of software and HRIS documentation; and review client documents to identify compliance risks. Maintaining legal documentation and contract repositories will also be key responsibilities.
Collaborating closely with HR and consulting teams, you will contribute to compliance deliverables while staying abreast of ongoing legal and regulatory developments relevant to HR and consulting sectors. The internship also includes support for ad-hoc legal projects involving business, contracts, and compliance issues.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must be able to work from home and be available to begin the internship between late September and the end of October 2026.
- Availability for the full duration of five months is required.
- Candidates should currently be pursuing or have recently graduated with a law degree (LLB or equivalent).
- A fundamental grasp of contract law, intellectual property (patents, copyrights), and data privacy principles is essential.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, attention to detail, and excellent written communication skills for effective legal documentation are mandatory.
- The ability to interpret complex legal concepts in a clear and practical manner is expected.
- Interest in corporate law, HR compliance, and consulting environments is necessary.
- Candidates must be capable of managing their workload independently and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations such as GDPR and the Indian DPDP Act is advantageous.
- Previous internship experience is beneficial but not compulsory.
