About the internship
Internship Overview
This internship provides an opportunity to develop practical skills closely aligned with the workflow of an actual investment banking analyst. You will be responsible for building and maintaining critical financial research databases and supporting the analysis of M&A transactions within the Indian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comparable company tables by screening peer groups, calculating valuation multiples, and documenting necessary adjustments.
- Manage and update a database of precedent transactions related to Indian mergers and acquisitions.
- Analyze deal announcements to extract key deal structures, consideration mechanisms, and strategic rationale.
- Develop and format presentation slides summarizing sector-wise deal activity.
- Ensure that all figures and data are supported by official filings or announcements.
Candidate Eligibility
- Applicants must be available to work remotely.
- Availability to start the internship between August 19, 2026, and September 23, 2026.
- Commitment to the full duration of three months.
- Relevant skills and interests pertinent to investment banking research.
- Students pursuing qualifications such as CFA, CA, MBA in Finance, or final year BBA and B.Com students with demonstrated Excel proficiency.
- Prior exposure to valuation concepts is advantageous.
