Internship Overview
Join Fin Maverick as a Risk Analytics Intern working remotely, where you will contribute to developing tools that measure risk across research and educational courses. This role offers hands-on experience in portfolio risk assessment and the opportunity to learn in a community devoted to disciplined and thorough learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Compute value at risk, volatility, and drawdown metrics for sample portfolio data.
- Design and build dashboards that illustrate portfolio correlations and exposures.
- Record and explain underlying assumptions for each risk measurement tool and identify their limitations.
- Perform stress tests on portfolios using historical financial scenarios.
- Prepare clear and accessible reports that communicate technical findings to non-specialist audiences.
Candidate Eligibility
Applicants must be available to work from home, start between August 19 and September 23, 2026, and commit to the full three-month internship duration. Candidates should have relevant skills and interests aligning with the internship's requirements.
Compensation and Perks
A monthly stipend of ₹28,000 will be provided. Additional benefits include flexible working hours, a certificate of completion, and a letter of recommendation. Interns will gain free access to the full Fin Maverick micro course library during onboarding.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Currently pursuing or completed education in CFA, FRM, BSc Statistics, B.Tech, or MBA Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory; Python programming skills are advantageous.
- Strong foundation in statistics and risk management principles.
