Internship Responsibilities

The selected interns will engage in multiple facets of data science work, including:

• Data Collection and Cleansing: Extract data from various sources including internal databases, APIs, and publicly available datasets; identify and rectify issues like missing values, inconsistencies, and errors; convert raw data into suitable formats for further processing.
• Data Exploration and Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to discern underlying patterns and trends; apply statistical techniques to find correlations, anomalies, or outliers; generate visual insights through charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Tableau.
• Feature Engineering and Data Preprocessing: Develop new features from existing datasets to enhance model accuracy; perform normalization, encoding, and scaling of data; preprocess categorical and time-series data for modeling readiness.
• Modeling and Machine Learning Activities: Aid in creating predictive and classification models primarily using Python or R; experiment with and compare different machine learning algorithms; assess model performance with metrics such as accuracy, F1-score, and RMSE; optimize hyperparameters and record observations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Compile reports summarizing analytical insights and machine learning outcomes; maintain comprehensive documentation covering codebases, methodologies, and workflow procedures; effectively communicate results to mentors and the team during meetings.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be available for a part-time internship lasting two months, starting anytime between September 19 and October 24, 2026.
• Applicants should reside in one of the specified Indian cities: Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Thanjavur, Tiruppur, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, or Vellore.
• Relevant skills and a strong interest in data science are required.
• The opportunity is open to women seeking to initiate or re-enter their professional journey.

Additional Information

• Number of openings: 100 positions available.
• Monthly stipend ranges between ₹7,000 and ₹25,000 depending on performance and profile.
• Work hours are flexible to accommodate other commitments.
• Interns will receive a certificate, letter of recommendation, and potentially a job offer upon successful completion.
