Role Overview
Join Tax-O-Smart LLP as a Technical Business Analyst Intern to serve as the crucial liaison between clients and the software development team. You will be tasked with gathering and interpreting client requirements, facilitating software upgrades, conducting software testing cycles, documenting technical details, and managing change requests in alignment with the software development life cycle. This internship is ideal for those with strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and familiarity with software development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to capture, analyze, and record business requirements and adjust change requests as needed.
- Convert business needs into precise functional specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements and resolve queries during the development process.
- Organize, prioritize, and track change requests, bug fixes, and feature enhancements.
- Execute functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for software releases and updates.
- Record and monitor software defects prior to releases.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including SRS, FRS, user manuals, architecture documents, release notes, test cases, and reports.
- Oversee project progress, coordinate software release schedules, and assist deployment procedures.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure software quality, adherence to requirements, and timely delivery of tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum frameworks.
- Skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and requirements gathering.
- Excellent communicative, stakeholder management, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Knowledgeable about software testing methodologies including functional, regression, and UAT.
- Experienced in preparing Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and other technical documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Adept at coordinating across clients, developers, and team members while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to learn and grow in business analysis and project management.
- Available for a 6-month full-time, in-office internship based in Mumbai.
