Join Tax-O-Smart LLP as an AI/ML Engineer intern focused on building and deploying innovative applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). This role involves designing scalable backend services using frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django, integrating AI/ML models as REST APIs for frontend usage, and working hands-on with popular generative AI models such as GPT, LLaMA, and Qwen for content and code generation. You will partner with product teams and frontend developers to create AI-driven features while continuously optimizing the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of AI services. Writing clean, production-quality and well-documented code will be a core responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy applications utilizing LLM technologies.
- Build RESTful API services to integrate AI/ML models with client-side applications.
- Employ Python-based backend frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django to create efficient, scalable systems.
- Work extensively with generative AI models for automated text, code, and content creation.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams for smooth feature delivery.
- Continuously monitor and enhance AI service performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Produce clean, testable, and well-documented code ready for production environments.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be available for a full-time, in-office internship based in Mumbai.
- Ready to begin between September 18, 2026 and October 23, 2026.
- Commitment to a 6-month internship duration is required.

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong command of Python programming.
- Understanding of Large Language Model structures, including fine-tuning, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
- Experience developing APIs with Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Knowledge of interfacing AI models through API endpoints for client consumption.
- Familiarity with leading generative AI models such as GPT, LLaMA, and Qwen.
- Experience with database technologies for storing AI inputs and outputs persistently.
- Proficient with Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
