Principal Consultant - Software Architect

Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly experienced Software Architect to join our team as Principal Consultant. This role involves extensive software development expertise across multiple technologies and enterprise environments. A strong emphasis is placed on applying Artificial Intelligence to develop innovative solutions. As a client-facing leader, you will steer pre-sales consulting activities, including RFx, discovery, solution design, and project estimations, collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery workshops to understand business needs and technical challenges, advocating AI-driven solutions where appropriate.
• Architect robust and scalable application solutions aligned with business goals and technical parameters.
• Create persuasive technical proposals and presentations to secure new business opportunities.
• Estimate project scopes and timelines accurately and promptly.
• Develop and document high-level application architecture blueprints.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage potential delivery risks.
• Ensure solutions fulfill intended business outcomes post-implementation.
• Keep abreast of current trends and innovations, particularly in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
• Contribute to reusable consulting frameworks, methodologies, and AI integration approaches within solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive software development experience within enterprise environments with practical knowledge spanning full-stack technologies.
• Ability to rapidly design solution options during pre-sales engagements.
• Excellent facilitation skills to gather high-level client requirements and distill essential technical information.
• Hands-on experience in solution architecture and project/program architecture roles.
• Competence in delivery planning, estimation, risk pricing, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with cloud and container architectures.
• Strong communication skills to engage and persuade senior stakeholders effectively.
• In-depth understanding of modern cloud-based application design and architecture.
• Proven application of AI/ML frameworks and concepts in solution design or strategic consulting.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with multiple programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring, C# .NET, Python, React, and Angular.
• Experienced in enterprise system integrations and data analytics approaches.
• Knowledge of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) platforms and implementations.
• Advanced expertise in Azure or AWS platforms, especially their AI/ML and Generative AI services like Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, or Bedrock.
• Experience utilizing large language models (LLMs) in enterprise application integration.
