About the Role
This position is located primarily in Macquarie Park, NSW, with consideration for other Australian locations. The role involves contributing to and managing remuneration and reward programs within Metcash's People & Culture team, ensuring alignment with business strategies and competitiveness in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the annual remuneration review process.
- Administer and oversee short-term and long-term incentive programs.
- Conduct job evaluations and implement job levelling procedures.
- Provide expert advice on remuneration and share market insights with stakeholders.
- Analyze data related to remuneration, performance outcomes, and workforce metrics.
- Manage salary survey entries and perform benchmarking activities.
- Support gender pay equity assessments and related reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external providers of reward and benefit services.
- Contribute to initiatives celebrating recognition and reward within the company.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is detail-focused, commercially savvy, and comfortable working with complex data sets while maintaining confidentiality. They should possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in remuneration, reward management, compensation & benefits, or a similar People & Culture function.
- Proficiency in managing remuneration reviews and incentive schemes (both STI and LTI).
- Strong knowledge of salary benchmarking and market data analysis.
- Familiarity with job evaluation and job levelling frameworks.
- Experience analyzing remuneration market data from providers like Korn Ferry, Mercer, and Aon.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, formula construction, data analysis, and reporting.
- Outstanding analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
Additional Advantages
- Certification in Korn Ferry Hay Job Evaluation or equivalent.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS systems.
- Previous exposure to gender pay equity analysis and reporting.
- Background in working within a large, complex organizational setting.
