Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager with the supervision of daily store activities, ensuring excellent customer service and meeting sales targets. This position assumes the responsibilities of Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is unavailable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and team leadership.
- Support merchandise presentation, inventory stocking, and manage unpacking of daily deliveries.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and handle escalated customer concerns effectively.
- Train, mentor, and foster the growth of store employees.
- Manage cash operations and conduct opening and closing procedures as required.
- Delegate tasks to staff members while ensuring safety protocols and store cleanliness are maintained.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards to enhance store appeal.
- Lead recruitment activities and oversee employee performance management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years of experience in retail environments.
- Minimum of two years in supervisory or management positions.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Proven strong leadership, effective communication, and sound decision-making abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced workplace.
