Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Patna. This role involves supporting the entire store's daily functions to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include assisting with staff supervision, scheduling work shifts, maintaining superb customer service standards, upkeep of cleanliness, and effective product display. Inventory management duties involve monitoring stock levels and coordinating with suppliers or the central team to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

The position also requires handling customer queries and complaints, overseeing cash handling and preparing basic reports, and aiding the Store Manager in executing sales strategies and operational guidelines. Leading by example, enforcing company policies, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive workplace culture are fundamental expectations for this role.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in retail or customer service roles, emphasizing strong customer relations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of store functions such as inventory control, cash handling, and merchandising displays.
  • Capability to supervise and delegate tasks among staff in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic computer software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays as necessary.
  • Preferred but not mandatory prior experience in assistant or leadership roles within retail.
  • At least a high school diploma; additional credentials in retail management or business are beneficial.
