Role Overview

As a Server at Gator's Dockside, you are entrusted with managing the entire guest journey from arrival to departure, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Thoroughly study and apply all training materials and standards to elevate guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a valid food safety certification during employment.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, promotions, and specials; communicate these enthusiastically to every guest.
• Greet guests warmly and promptly with a friendly demeanor.
• Accurately take orders and input them into kitchen systems correctly.
• Verify order accuracy upon delivery to guests and address any discrepancies swiftly.
• Collaborate amicably with management and team members to fulfill assigned tasks.
• Assist in training new servers and supporting staff as necessary.
• Complete designated side duties responsibly.
• Handle monetary transactions including cash, credit cards, and traveler’s checks precisely and responsibly.
• Settle all financial obligations with the restaurant at shift end and declare all gratuities earned.
• Escalate guest complaints or issues immediately to on-duty management and strive to resolve them effectively.
• Prepare drinks and desserts, serve food, bus, and pre-bus tables while maintaining cleanliness in common work areas.
• Support food preparation and dishwashing tasks as requested by management.
• Adhere strictly to company policies outlined in the employee handbook and training materials.
• Contribute to cleaning and upkeep of all public spaces including restrooms, dining areas, floors, walls, windows, and equipment.
• Maintain personal hygiene and appearance as per company standards.
