Job description

Role Overview

The Production Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the Production Department to ensure smooth operations. This includes managing production activities, supervising manpower, and maintaining facilities and air-conditioning systems. The position focuses on achieving production targets aligned with the annual budget while safeguarding product quality, operational efficiency, and safety standards.

Key Duties

  • Supervise daily production operations, plant activities, and workforce management.
  • Plan and meet production goals based on budget and sales targets.
  • Ensure finished products adhere to established quality standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of production machinery, vehicle fleets, plant facilities, and air conditioning systems.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate prompt repairs with the Workshop team.
  • Maximize machinery efficiency and reduce production downtime.
  • Collaborate effectively with departments such as Sales, Crusher, Purchase, Stores, and Workshop to facilitate smooth workflows.
  • Forecast and procure necessary spare parts and maintenance materials.
  • Generate production and maintenance reports and regularly brief the General Manager.
  • Prepare and supervise the Production Department's annual budget.
  • Monitor performance and responsibilities of Production Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company safety protocols during production and maintenance operations.
  • Promote productivity improvements, cost control, equipment reliability, and continuous process enhancement.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience in production or plant management roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of production machinery operations and maintenance practices.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competent in managing manpower, production budgets, meeting targets, and overseeing maintenance activities.
