The Payroll Coordinator position is a permanent role, primarily hybrid, with the primary location in Montreal, QC, and other locations across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing accurately and punctually for nearly 2,000 Canadian employees.
  • Carry out all payroll case management activities diligently.
  • Perform calculations for gross-to-net pay and ensure payroll is balanced.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues in collaboration with stakeholders such as Talent teams, Legal, and Benefits providers.
  • Prepare and submit payroll deductions and required remittances timely.
  • Complete year-end payroll activities efficiently.

Team Environment

This role is part of an eight-member administrative team responsible for Deloitte's National Payroll operations, including payroll processing, administration, data entry, and reporting functions, servicing all employees and business lines.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience managing payroll in a large multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of, or actively pursuing, Canadian Payroll Association Certification.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with strong multitasking skills.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an advantage due to interactions with national and global clients.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft payroll systems is a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $47,000 to $78,000 annually, with eligibility for a bonus program.
