Role Overview

The Payment Methods Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing transaction volume distribution among multiple payment methods. This role is key to ensuring efficient operations, reducing costs, and maintaining seamless customer payment experiences.

The specialist strategically manages payment method allocations to align with company goals, reduce expenses, and enhance success rates. Continuous real-time performance monitoring, analysis of KPIs, and collaborative problem-solving with teams across Payment Operations, Risk, Product, and Vendor Management ensure aligned strategies and swift issue resolution.

Additional responsibilities include managing end-to-end testing of payment methods, validating functionalities, guaranteeing platform integration, and delivering detailed analytics to improve payment performance. This data-driven approach supports a stable payment ecosystem tailored to business and customer expectations.

Work schedules and rest days comply with relevant local labor laws.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and fine-tune the distribution weights of group payment methods to improve transaction success and cost-effectiveness.
• Align payment method weighting with business priorities, customer expectations, and operational constraints.
• Monitor payment method metrics such as success rates, volume, and transaction speeds continuously.
• Detect underperforming methods and recommend adjustments including reallocation, escalation, or disabling.
• Conduct thorough transaction data analysis to spot trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Prepare routine performance and impact reports related to payment weight configurations.
• Collaborate with Payment Operations, Risk, Product, and Vendor Management teams for strategic alignment and operational excellence.
• Liaise with payment service providers to resolve performance issues and ensure Service Level Agreement compliance.
• Identify and mitigate risks from payment method dependencies, including overreliance on providers or regional constraints.
• Develop contingency plans to reduce payment processing disruptions.
• Maintain compliance with internal payment guidelines and develop standard operating procedures for managing payment method weights.
• Manage escalations promptly by cooperating with relevant teams and propose weight adjustments based on root cause analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations in payment technologies.
• Suggest improvements to enhance payment method efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Healthcare, Auditing, Accounting, Education, Business, Finance, Administration, Pharmacy, or Economics.
