Network Engineer

Role overview

We are looking for a Network Engineer in Singapore to design, deploy, support, and improve enterprise network and infrastructure environments. The position combines hands-on network administration, IT infrastructure support, and pre-sales collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.

Network engineering responsibilities

• Plan, configure, and roll out network setups involving routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and SD-WAN platforms.
• Track network health, investigate incidents, and resolve issues to keep services stable and available.
• Carry out routine upkeep, patches, and platform upgrades on network hardware and related systems.
• Apply security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection solutions.
• Set up and administer DHCP and DNS services to support smooth day-to-day network operations.
• Build and maintain Microsoft Active Directory and WSUS environments for identity administration and system updates.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and MECM for identity, endpoint, and systems management.
• Partner with customer IT teams to connect network solutions with broader applications and systems.
• Produce clear documentation covering network settings, operating procedures, and compliance needs.
• Guide internal teams and end users on network-related issues and technical queries.
• Keep current with new networking approaches, cloud-led infrastructure trends, and industry best practices.
• Handle daily operations, ad hoc initiatives, and cross-functional support as required.
• Work independently on fresh installations, backups, restores, configurations, and equipment upgrades.

IT infrastructure support

• Bring a wide understanding of IT infrastructure and support services while working closely with internal teams to deliver reliable client service.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth and timely delivery of IT services.
• Use working knowledge of Microsoft 365, server deployment, and end-user support.
• Support RDS, network RADIUS design, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with server upgrades and server role migration tasks.
• Be available for urgent or weekend OS and network maintenance when operations or projects require it.

Pre-sales responsibilities

• Work with the sales team to identify and qualify network solution opportunities.
• Assess client requirements and convert them into practical network designs and proposals.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for customers.
• Advise on network architecture, design choices, and implementation practices.
• Support the creation of RFPs, RFQs, and other technical documents.
• Respond to customer questions and technical concerns during the sales cycle.
• Coordinate with product and engineering teams to stay aligned with the latest solutions.
• Join customer meetings, workshops, and events to present network offerings.
• Share client and market feedback with the product development team.
• Maintain strong awareness of market trends, competition, and new networking technologies.

Requirements

• Cisco CCNA certification or an equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point Harmony SASE.
• Working knowledge of HPE Aruba SD-WAN.
• Experience with Fortinet FortiGate and secure wireless LAN solutions.
• Exposure to Allied Telesis technologies.
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience in the IT infrastructure business.
