Position Summary

The role of Microsoft 365 Engineer is crucial within the client's IT department. The incumbent will provide expert-level administration, troubleshooting, and support for the Microsoft 365 environment. This position involves handling complex technical challenges, designing and implementing solutions for peak performance, and leading escalation processes from lower support levels. The engineer must possess extensive knowledge in Microsoft 365 services like Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Auto Pilot, Microsoft Purview, and the Power Platform, with an emphasis on compliance and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee management of the client's Microsoft 365 tenant environment.
• Perform daily administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Intune, Defender, and Entra Identity.
• Administer user and device identities, roles, and permissions utilizing Azure Active Directory and on-premises Active Directory.
• Manage identity services such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
• Provide end-user support addressing issues related to email, access, and Office 365 services.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Teams for compliance and collaboration effectiveness.
• Maintain and enhance security configurations, including MFA, Conditional Access, and Identity Protection.
• Handle administration and upkeep of Microsoft Intune for device management across Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS platforms.
• Enforce mobile device and application management policies through Intune.
• Manage automated device enrollment, configuration profiles, and compliance standards.
• Deploy Microsoft 365 security tools such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Classification, and Information Rights Management (IRM).
• Ensure adherence to company security policies and compliance regulations via Microsoft 365 compliance solutions.
• Maintain the tenant's secure score within acceptable thresholds.
• Automate routine tasks utilizing PowerShell scripting.
• Stay current with software updates, patches, and new feature rollouts; plan and execute monthly maintenance activities.
• Continuously assess and optimize Microsoft 365 environment configuration and performance.
• Lead and support Microsoft 365 migrations and tenant consolidation projects.
• Research and implement new Microsoft 365 functionalities to enhance service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any computer-related field (3 to 4 years program).
• Microsoft Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) certification is mandatory.
• 7 years of relevant professional experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments.

This position requires immediate availability to join and will be based onsite in Abu Dhabi. Candidates should demonstrate capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, maintaining a proactive approach towards resolving business challenges.
