Java Full Stack Engineer Intern

Role Overview

This internship is for a Java Full Stack Engineer Intern based in Chennai within the Technology / Development department. Over a 6-month period, you will collaborate with senior developers on both server-side and client-side work, gaining practical exposure to live applications and contributing to projects that have real business impact. The role is designed to help you strengthen your skills in the areas you are most interested in while learning from experienced engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the build and upkeep of web applications using Java-based tools and technologies.
• Support both backend development with Java and Spring Boot and frontend work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular or React.
• Write code that is clear, efficient, and reusable.
• Help investigate bugs, test features, and fix issues in current applications.
• Work closely with teammates to understand requirements and help shape technical solutions.
• Keep development notes updated and maintain project documentation as needed.

What You Should Bring

• A solid grasp of Core Java fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot.
• Basic familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one frontend framework, ideally Angular or React.
• Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Basic experience using Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong reasoning, debugging, and problem-solving ability.

Who Can Apply

Recent graduates or students in their final year pursuing BE, BTech, BSc, BCA, or MCA in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline are eligible. Prior hands-on work through an academic or personal Java/full stack project will be considered an advantage.
