Role overview
Country Court is hiring a Housekeeper for Summer Lane Nursing Home in Weston-Super-Mare. This position sits within the Country Court family and supports the daily standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation across the home.
The home is a modern, welcoming care setting that offers family-led residential care, tailored dementia care, and specialist nursing support. The team, led by Manager Vimal, focuses on creating a warm atmosphere and memorable experiences for residents.
Working pattern
This is a 38-hour per week role. Shifts run from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and weekend working is required on a rota basis.

What the role involves
The Housekeeper plays an important part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents. The position requires a strong focus on detail, high housekeeping standards, and a caring approach to everyday service.
- Ensure resident rooms are cleaned thoroughly and kept to a consistently high standard of hygiene.
- Wash, press, and fold residents’ clothing and bedding carefully and neatly.
- Check that no surface or area is overlooked during cleaning tasks.
- Support the overall presentation and comfort of the home.
- Contribute to a person-centred environment where residents feel valued.
What they are looking for
The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and enthusiastic about helping create the best possible environment for residents. A caring manner and strong attention to detail are essential.
- Previous experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is preferred, though not mandatory.
- A very strong eye for detail.
- A friendly and caring attitude.
- Confidence in interacting positively with residents and their families.
- Awareness or understanding of the care sector.
