Full-Stack Engineer

Overview

AIDAR is innovating the artist scouting experience using personalized AI agents that continuously explore the music landscape to identify talent aligned with A&Rs' visions. Founded by Janek, who leads product and technology, and Caspar, who directs business and product design, the startup is publicly launched with initial customers and secured funding through mid-2027.

Role and Work Environment

As a full-stack engineer, you will collaborate closely with Janek on backend, frontend, and data pipelines, and with Caspar on product strategy and design. The product is operational, and your focus will be scaling, refining, and enhancing its capabilities. The startup culture embraces flat hierarchies, rapid communication, and adaptability to evolving priorities. Work hours are flexible, emphasizing quality outputs over presence, and growing responsibility accompanies team expansion.

• Frontend: Flutter for web and mobile applications
• Backend: Python
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Hosting: Hetzner virtual machines

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary between €58,000 and €60,000
• Equity stake of 1% subject to a 4-year vesting schedule with a one-year cliff
• 30 paid vacation days
• Remote work possible within Germany, with a base in Hamburg
• Flexible working hours

Candidate Profile

• Proficient Python developer writing clean and maintainable code
• Experience with Flutter or strong frontend skills coupled with eagerness to learn Flutter
• Ability to manage large-scale databases and complex data structures
• Residency in Germany is mandatory
• Self-driven, able to handle ambiguous problems and deliver optimal solutions beyond rigid specifications
• Strategic thinker who appreciates the broader context from user challenges to technical impacts on the product
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools (like LLM agents, embeddings, recommendation systems) is an advantage but not mandatory
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to enhance code productivity without compromising quality
• Enjoys close collaboration with founders and direct impact on product development
• Startup experience and/or background in the music industry is a plus
