Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Software Developer to join the Authentication Security team, focusing on building highly resilient authentication systems. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives on creating scalable, distributed security infrastructures and transforming abstract security requirements into concrete, robust implementations. Key responsibilities include leading technical strategy, designing resilient services, improving code reliability, collaborating cross-functionally, and participating in incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the vision and roadmap for the security platform in collaboration with engineering and product leaders.
• Architect and implement high-performance, secure authentication services, libraries, and APIs.
• Create tools that enhance code quality and aid adoption of security solutions.
• Promote effective software design patterns and best practices.
• Work with support and engineering teams to troubleshoot, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Foster a culture of innovation and teamwork.
• Operate independently while recognizing when to seek assistance.
• Participate in on-call duties and lead incident management to quickly restore services.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver valuable outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software development with proven leadership in complex system design and scalable software delivery.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of resilient service patterns including backpressure, idempotency, timeouts, and circuit breakers.
• Strong background in API (REST) development and microservices architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
• Experience with security, identity, authentication, and authorization frameworks and standards including SAML and OIDC.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Advanced knowledge of identity protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
• Familiarity with data storage solutions such as Redis and MySQL.
• Experience using source control and CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Git, BitBucket, Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Competence with observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Skill in authoring technical design documents and effectively participating in collaborative software development environments.
• Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

Additional Information

The base salary for this Dublin-based role ranges between €86,400 and €129,600 per year, subject to factors such as experience, skills, education, and role requirements. Eligible candidates may also participate in bonus plans and stock grants.
