Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain constructive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to foster collaboration.
- Proactively address issues related to project performance, scope, budget, and timelines directly with the client as they arise.
- Determine and achieve optimal technical and commercial outcomes within the project context.
- Oversee design activities, ensuring interdisciplinary data sharing and communications run smoothly.
- Manage design scope and basis, ensuring execution meets prescribed performance standards.
- Conduct technical evaluations, risk identification and mitigation, review project deliverables, scope management, handle project variations, and oversee recovery planning, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Develop comprehensive Project Scope Statements.
- Organize and document design reviews and technical meetings, ensuring action items are completed.
- Secure timely client approvals without rework or delays.
- Consistently deliver technical outcomes that exceed client satisfaction benchmarks.
- Supervise disciplines to complete scope within budget constraints.
- Identify, quantify, and justify claims promptly to the project manager.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Lead the team with a focus on meeting Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
- Exemplify world-class health, safety, and environmental practices and behaviors through business conduct.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Mandatory accreditation from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME); candidates must obtain this during the probation if not currently held.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) credential or progress towards this is advantageous.
Professional Experience
- Significant senior-level experience in onshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong engineering planning capabilities.
- Experience in Middle Eastern projects is preferred.
- Background in international engineering consultancy environments.
- Experienced in managing interfaces with statutory authorities and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise working in brownfield project environments.
- Essential experience in Pre-FEED and FEED project phases.

Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
