Job description
About One Acre Fund
Established in 2006, One Acre Fund empowers 5.5 million smallholder farmers across nine African countries, home to two-thirds of the continent's farming population. They offer quality farm inputs, tree seedlings, credit access, modern farming training, and various agricultural services. This approach helps farmers boost their income and assets on supported land by over 35% while enhancing their long-term resilience, driven by a diverse team of over 9,000 full-time employees.
In Uganda, the program started in 2014, serving over 34,000 farmers with quality inputs and fruit trees like avocados. The team is based primarily in Jinja and also has a presence in Kampala, operating mostly in eastern districts like Iganga, Jinja, Kamuli, Buikwe, and expanding into the Central region.
