About the Role

As a Tutor at AIM Educational Services, you will play a vital role in advancing students' academic success through personalized one-on-one or small group sessions. You will support learners in excelling at standardized tests such as the SAT, PSAT, and ACT, while also providing instruction in additional subjects including Economics, Physics, Chemistry, among others, up to the CAPE level.

Key Responsibilities

• Rescheduling meetings within reasonable limits to accommodate students' needs
• Leading tutoring sessions and scheduled appointments
• Adhering to the established tutoring curriculum
• Keeping current with standardized test guidelines and subject-specific material
• Locating and incorporating supplementary learning materials to enhance lesson delivery
• Preparing students effectively for tests
• Teaching techniques to boost test results, such as study habits, note-taking, time management, and tackling exam questions
• Administering practice tests to monitor progress and pinpoint areas that require improvement
• Delivering feedback to both students' parents and the tutoring coordinator when appropriate
• Developing inventive methods to make sessions engaging and educational

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in teaching
• Previous tutoring experience is a plus
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation capabilities
• Reliability and professionalism with punctuality
• Competent in Google Spreadsheets, Zoom, and Google Classroom
• High adaptability, creativity, and flexibility
• Preferred candidates have attended a US college and have personally taken the SAT
