Structural Design Engineer

About the Role

Trust Engineering, a prominent consultancy in Doha, is seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer specialized in reinforced concrete and steel buildings to join their team. This role involves performing structural analysis and creating designs for significant building projects, with a strong focus on large-scale and high-rise structures.

Main Duties

• Conduct structural analysis and design primarily for reinforced concrete buildings, including towers exceeding 20 stories.
• Prepare and evaluate structural calculations, modeling, and design documentation.
• Use CSI software packages such as ETABS and SAFE for analysis and modeling tasks.
• Collaborate with drafting teams to produce and coordinate structural drawings.
• Work closely with architects, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs.
• Review and optimize both concrete and steel structural systems to enhance efficiency and practicality in construction.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant international building codes and local regulatory standards.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in structural design consultancy.
• Strong background in large reinforced concrete projects, especially high-rise buildings of 20 floors or more.
• Proficient user of ETABS and SAFE structural software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for drawing purposes.
• Experience handling multidisciplinary coordination among engineering fields.
• Competence in reviewing steel structural systems.
• Prior work experience in the GCC region is highly advantageous.
• Must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
