Role Overview

The Staff Software Development Engineer position, based in Bangalore in a hybrid onsite format, reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering within the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. The role involves securing digital risk through identity integration and control, developing workflows and integrations in coordination with the IAM team, Product Management, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of identity management products for the company.
• Create scalable and high-performance backend services and APIs primarily using Java.
• Write and maintain various test suites including unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure code quality; monitor and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and actively participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Engage in on-call rotations supporting a highly available engineering platform, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge and experience in enterprise Java development, object-oriented programming principles, and system architecture.
• Skilled in developing RESTful APIs and using frameworks like Hibernate and Spring.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Practical experience with SQL databases, especially Postgres.
• Hands-on expertise in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes alongside cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container infrastructure management.
• Experience incorporating AI-driven anomaly detection, identity analytics, or automated policy generation within enterprise access management environments.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management standards and protocols including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, Federation, and SSO.
