Senior Integration Engineer (Python & Typescript)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Engineer skilled in Python and TypeScript, based in Saudi Arabia. The role involves designing and sustaining sophisticated backend integrations across contemporary software environments. You'll be responsible for developing scalable APIs and integration services emphasizing reliability and clean architecture, with a particular focus on healthcare technology integrations, especially dental practice management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain intricate backend integrations utilizing Python and TypeScript.
• Develop durable APIs and integration layers to ensure seamless communication among various software applications and platforms.
• Design scalable and maintainable backend solutions tailored for complex integration needs.
• Optimize backend services prioritizing reliability, security, and performance performance.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to understand and translate integration requirements into technical solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve integration challenges by identifying root causes and applying sustainable fixes.
• Participate in architectural decision-making concerning APIs, data flows, and interoperability standards.
• Engage with modern cloud platforms and technologies relevant to project requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with U.S.-based distributed teams by aligning for 2 to 4 hours of overlapping working hours, preferably including West Coast times.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years professional experience in backend software engineering with proven track record of designing production-level systems.
• Expert proficiency in Python and TypeScript programming languages.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and build complex APIs and integrations across multiple systems.
• Strong foundation in backend development concepts such as software architecture, data management, debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
• Desirable experience in healthcare technology, specifically with Dental Practice Management Systems (PMS) integrations.
• Working knowledge of GraphQL, Hasura, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills to independently address and solve technical issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with distributed engineering teams.
• Ability to self-manage while ensuring alignment with team goals and technical standards.
• Willingness to maintain at least 2–4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. working hours, ideally including West Coast time.
