Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and professional Security Officer to join our team, providing security services across multiple locations including Fareham, Portsmouth, and Southampton. This role offers 36 contracted hours weekly with varying shift times tailored to site needs. Pay ranges between A313.45 and A314.94 depending on the site.

Locations Covered

• Fareham Shopping Centre, PO16 0PQ
• The Marlands Shopping Centre, SO14 7SJ
• Port Solent, PO6 4TP
• Rams Walk Shopping Centre, GU32 3JA
• Meridian Shopping Centre, PO9 1UN

Candidates must be willing to travel between these sites as operational demands arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguarding clients, personnel, property, and assets in line with assignment and site-specific protocols.
• Conducting ongoing internal and external patrols.
• Maintaining a visible security presence and monitoring premises activity.
• Ensuring a secure, safe environment for visitors, staff, tenants, and contractors.
• Identifying, preventing, and reporting incidents, losses, damages, or unauthorized entries.
• Escalating matters professionally to management, control rooms, operations, or emergency services where necessary.
• Documenting detailed reports, incident logs, and patrol records accurately.
• Assisting and responding courteously and effectively to customer and public inquiries and issues.
• Providing flexible support to planned and ad hoc site cover requirements.
• Maintaining professional standards in conduct and attire at all times.
• Collaborating closely with site managers and security teams to facilitate smooth operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding License.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license with access to personal transport.
• CCTV license is advantageous.
• Employment history verifiable for the past five years.
• Prior experience in security roles is required.
• Strong customer service aptitude.
• Ability to handle conflict calmly and professionally.
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Adaptable toward shift patterns and locations.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional with a polished appearance.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
