Quality Officer

About the Role

Telinno Consulting Limited, a premier telecommunications service provider in West Africa specializing in cellular network rollout, fiber deployment, civil site engineering, and network performance management, seeks a Quality Officer based in Abuja (FCT). This role involves executing field quality audits, enforcing stringent Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) protocols, overseeing snag-list clearance, and managing client acceptance processes for telecom infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-acceptance and final acceptance inspections on civil works, fiber installations, tower structures, power systems, and telecom equipment at sites.
• Thoroughly document snags and non-conformities, maintain tracking until resolution, and submit comprehensive quality reports and acceptance logs to clients through management platforms.
• Lead daily safety meetings, uphold proper use of PPE, deliver HSE inductions, investigate near-misses and incidents, and implement corrective safety measures.
• Supervise contractors ensuring adherence to technical build standards, approved engineering practices, and ISO quality guidelines.
• Compile regular QHSE audit reports for Project Managers and senior leadership, supporting site teams from commissioning through to project closure.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering; alternatively, equivalent practical experience on telecom infrastructure projects.
• At least 1 to 3 years' hands-on experience in site engineering, quality assurance/control, HSE management, or telecom project coordination.
• Familiarity with telecom site construction elements such as fiber deployment, tower setups, and power installations.
• Additional certifications like NEBOSH, ISPON, ISO 9001 Lead or Internal Auditor credentials are advantageous.
• Demonstrated excellence in technical report writing, proficiency with MS Office suite, meticulous attention to documentation, physical ability to conduct frequent site visits, and capability to quickly adapt to technical scenarios.
