Quality Control Engineer

About the Role

Schimmer Energy Pvt. Ltd., located in the MPIDC Industrial Area, Bagroda, Bhopal, is seeking a Quality Control Engineer with a mechanical engineering background. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality standards of metal manufacturing products through thorough inspections and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections at different stages including incoming materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
• Maintain and prepare quality documentation, such as inspection reports and records.
• Manage customer inspection procedures within the manufacturing premises.
• Verify product quality in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Utilize various measurement instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial gauges for precision inspection.
• Supervise quality control staff and oversee inspection processes on the shop floor.
• Detect quality-related issues and apply corrective and preventive measures to address them.
• Collaborate with production teams to uphold established quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech or BE) in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least two years of experience within a metal manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in quality inspection and testing procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Competence in handling various measurement tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial gauges.
• Experience with quality documentation and reporting systems.
• Ability to manage and coordinate manpower effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
