Clean Harbors is hiring a Proposal Manager to join its safety-focused team in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will create, assemble, and polish proposal responses for large and complex solicitation packages across the company’s business lines. You will also coordinate the full approval workflow, including reviews from legal, risk, and pricing stakeholders.

What you will do
- Put health and safety first by consistently following safe work practices, company policies, and operating processes.
- Review major solicitation documents in detail, then build action plans and response steps aligned to the customer’s evaluation criteria.
- Drive proposal tasks through to completion and ensure submissions are delivered on time.
- Draft written content for proposal packages, including technical material, questions, and clarifications for solicitations.
- Coordinate with departments across the organization to collect the information needed for accurate and high-quality bid responses.
- Work with internal teams to improve efficiency, share pricing requirements, and support pricing strategy development.
- Gather competitive pricing and technical inputs from the sales team.
- Maintain current standard company information and collaborate across teams to assemble boilerplate content.
- Organize conference calls and meetings to collect information, shape operating strategies, and review pricing.
- Support proposal quality improvement efforts with the Proposal Development Manager.
- Share successful pricing details with contract administration teams for database entry.
- Conduct follow-up reviews after bids are lost to identify reasons and lessons learned.
- Use experience and feedback to strengthen future proposals, especially in pricing and positioning.

- Self-driven, goal-focused, and able to work independently.
- Comfort using Windows-based software applications.
- Experience in the industry and/or in proposal development.
