Project Director

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to oversee the delivery of significant, complex infrastructure projects within the energy sector. This senior leadership position involves managing projects from their initial development and investment approval phases through to construction, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major infrastructure projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, risk mitigation, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee large-scale contracting and procurement processes.
• Guide and support Project Managers, technical experts, contractors, and allocation of project resources.
• Prepare executive-level reports, business cases, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Address complex commercial, technical, and operational challenges effectively.
• Promote the highest standards of safety, quality, and project delivery performance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Substantial experience within the energy or resources sector.
• Demonstrated success managing large, complex infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong skills in commercial management, financial oversight, and risk control.
• Proven leadership of project management and technical teams.
• In-depth understanding of project governance and established project management methodologies.
• Possession of a Project Management qualification.
• Technical or trade certification is essential.
• A valid Western Australia Driver's Licence and willingness for occasional travel to regional locations.
