About the Role
Urban Park Services is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join their remote Canada-based team. This role involves managing exception resolution, supporting audits, and reviewing documents to ensure timely processing, accuracy, and completeness of payroll data. Responsibilities revolve around overseeing incoming destination-management work related to Italy and Mediterranean operations, handling financial records, account assessments, and documentation specific to Canada's payroll workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll specialist duties in Canada by resolving exceptions, conducting variance analyses, and executing payroll-specific tasks to maintain deadline control and ensure traceability.
- Perform audits and review incoming destination-management reports and payroll documentation to detect incomplete or inconsistent information prior to progression in the Canadian payroll process.
- Monitor open tasks through document and invoice reviews as well as payment tracking, ensuring records are complete, ownership is clear, and deadlines are met.
- Thoroughly document decisions and handoffs using variance analysis and account review techniques to provide a clear work history, enabling seamless continuation by authorized team members.
- Support quality assurance efforts by using reports, documentation, and exception resolution, and escalate any discrepancies when data accuracy cannot be guaranteed from current records.
Success Metrics
Effectiveness in this position is measured by maintaining strict control over payment tracking, invoice and document reviews, guaranteeing complete and accurate records with clear accountability and an undoubted evidence trail.

Position Details
This is a full-time associate-level position entirely remote within Canada. Annual base compensation ranges from $43,000 to $68,000.
